Today's is a 1880 brocaded silk damask two piece gown. The fabric is a bit "much"and makes it look like a bathroom, but shows the attention to fabric and trimmings that reminds me of the fashions of the late 1700s.

As part of the Brocade Paper Week challenge, we present the gilted crest and flowery endpapers from an 18th century rare book in our collection. Previously owned by a Cardinal of the Catholic Church it is a prime example of Ecclesiastical heraldry.
