Adora is looking at Catra's lips. Her eyes give her away - the pupils are so dilated her eyes seem completely black. Adrenaline rush from the sudden dip / Catra's power move + unexpected position and closeness = momentarily excited Adora 😏

AFAIK the dipped party's leg is supposed to be between their partner's legs in this position? So Adora was not expecting to be dipped but still knew where to put her leg (?)

Adora has her left hand on Catra's hip, with Catra's right hand on top of it; Catra has her hand on Adora's hip, with Adora's hand holding it there. They circle each other like this twice until rising their hands with a flourish and separating for new partners.

When Adora is up on the balcony and sees Catra & Scorpia arrive, Catra's eyes turn to take a quick glance in her general direction. Maybe just a coincidence? She's not looking up, after all - no way she could spot Adora right away? 🤔
Here is a WIP of a project i've wanted to do for a long time now. Catra finally gets what she wants. Standing victorious over She-ra. In the pool of blood below them is reflection of Catra's inner self crying. This is probs gonna be the hardest piece i ever make and...
I don't usually edit my drawings digitally, but this time I took a scan from before the bruises etc. were added and removed the tears, to get a "cleaner version" (although Catra's claw marks still remain)
Correction: Contrary to my earlier tweet, from these pics it looks like Catra's eyes DO glow in the dark/twilight...!
So... Sometimes they glow in the dark, sometimes they don't.
Maybe she can control it ;)

When Glimmer was aiming at Catra but lost her balance (Catra's whip) and her aim wet off, her magic blast cut through the metal structures, machinery and walls as if they were soft butter. Catra would definitely be dead if Glimmer had managed to hit her with that magic.
@sharklancestan @pefruma Then again, becoming "the new Shadow Weaver" was Catra's own plan at some point... 🤨 Not from the "mom POV" as much as "second-in-command POV", but using those exact words (S1E8).
In a way Adora was enforcing Catra's new identity (jk!)

- (as Flutterina) saw Catra flirting with She-Ra in Elberon ("I thought I'd have to kidnap another town" etc.)
- noticed that their impersonation of She-Ra was the only thing to make Catra laugh
...And from all that they figured out Catra's feelings for Adora.
