I've gotta give 2013 to Takahata's final masterpiece Tale of the Princess Kaguya. A bittersweet tale that's literall 1000 years old but somehow very modern and poignant about the uncertainty of growing up and what the future lies. if I could only call one anime art, it'd be this.

So yes, large earlobes on non-avian dinosaurs is possible. Even if the initial inspiration were domesticated birds, nature has done far more crazy stuff.
