The thing that makes it hard for me to critique IDW Sonic's artwork and have people take it seriously is that by all means it's objectively good artwork, and I just subjectively don't like how it tries to make the characters look too cute for my liking.

Biggest thing for me I feel need for improvement is probably shading/lighting.
(Also typical posing and proportion stuff but focus here is shading/lighting)

My critique is that those paintings are just Thomas Kikade painting for 90s kids. Overly-polished, extremely artificial, too much emphasis on "warm light." It all feels very unnatural in it's capture of nostalgia. Nothing feels "lived in".

Finished Cyberpunk 🦾———•

Absolutely Adam-smashed it. Didn’t think I’d get teary eyed at the ending, definitely unexpected. My only critique is that the character relationships were short, but it does good for 10 episodes. Overall clean animation, great story and killer music.

Really hope readers of Dark Crisis: YJ don’t think the original series is this misogynistic echo Chamber of a book instead of the progressive, fun, and lighthearted book it really was. I can’t name a modern critique of a book that missed the mark THAT hard before.
