i have NOT been skipping daily practices!! i've been drawing on sketchbooks instead of daily practices and its all anatomy sketches so there's nothing interesting to show
i have used up 2 sketchbooks so far!! i only did this bc my sketchbook ran out of pages

The more cyan-ish eye color on the edited version reminds me of how Mikoto Aketa's eyes are drawn in some of her cards.
Both Lanzhu and Mikoto are voiced by Chinese-descent VAs too so it's an interesting parallel.
Started reading Burn the House Down for JP manga club bc I guess we're just on a crime/thriller kick. Revenge story of a girl who vows to take back the life another woman stole from her mother. Not as suspenseful as other Kodansha thrillers I read recently, but it's interesting.

at this point, you might want to process the line art a bit.
Idk what tool Kaneko used for the lineart in this era, but it's super textured and "fades" when you put low pressure, like a real pencil.
Interestingly enough, his modern art style would ditch the textured pen(?)
Oh also this is supposed to be Kronii, which is hard to tell imo not only because it's just a bad sketch, but also because I was drawing her from memory (which is pretty bad) but it gave me an idea!
Wouldn't it be interesting if I tried to draw people from memory?
