Today's warm-up doodle: Scribby! the green pencil in the show never really quite felt like Scribby to me, not without her paint splatters

also I've always thought Scribby would work well as one of those rainbow colored pencils!

Ok, so my very first 🐣 🫣
Tried to paint Van Gogh’s
“Blossoming almond branch in a glass with a book” (3).
Started off with coloured pencils. Came out too pale (1), so I continued with oil pastels (2).
I like pastels, but it’s hard to create details.

The neighborhood. Did a contour drawing in ink and filled in with pastel paints before enhancing with colour pencils. This was done with ink, pastel paints, and coloured pencils in a Strathmore Mixed Media sketchbook (7.75” x 9.75”).
