Oil on canvas board
10 x 12”
January 2021

Beginning to really get into the swing of working with oils and colour. In case you can’t tell, I love painting high contrasts.

Here’s a WIP. So far, every time I’ve drawn Wanda, she always has a huge smile. This contrasts the usual RBF I draw on every character. WIPs/BTS and final drawings are always posted on my IG.

The first in a series of portraits that will have glowing tattoos, abstract color on their bodies and badass hair. The realistic rendering on the face and hand contrasts to the coloring on the rest of the piece, suggesting a spotlight. I utilized the tattoos to hint at form.

A lil life update with a self portrait again!
My hair grew so much and heavy that I have to tie it up everyday TvT for some reason my side bangs are uneven but I kinda like it (cuz it's edgy lmao) I also have a bad case of rbf according to ppl ive met, which contrasts my persona

An irreverent, contemporary neo-Grotesk font, Grotta has strong geometric accents and sharp contrasts in its form - characterised by tight apertures and dynamic feel.

She married in 1924 & graduated a year later & moved to Havana. She was influenced by ideas of equality & was a member of the Cuban avant-garde. Contrasts (1927), Requiem (1928), Degenerate Madonna (1930) & Ethel Ashton (1930)

Well I’m pleased with how this turned out. Credit to for the pose reference (process video in thread) and me for my hand ref 😂

I promised art yesterday and I deliver. My OC Naomi, in her full glory. Just a colored sketch, but I had fun with the contrasts.

Expressively, contrasts can be then alternating the colours within themselves. Repetitive scoring creates ambient occlusion which is then followed by the illusion of colour

Not really a problem ? I should learn to draw monsters too and deeper contrasts 🤔 actually I never thought on fanart if something including monsters 😯 good idea, thanks for the suggestion. If I can develop this style ...

John Sutter arrives in California

John Augustus Sutter, the man most responsible for the 1849 California gold rush, led a life of contrasts much like those that can be seen in the San Francisco street that bears his name.

My painting Contrasts SOLD on Bluethumb and going to an art lover in South Australia - thanks again - sometimes the subject is just an excuse to play with colour

it's been a while, but here's aphroditos/aphroditus. this is a "male" aphrodite that was brought to athens from cyprus. statues of them show them in a post called anasyrma, lifting their skirt to reveal the "male" genitals which contrasts their "female" upper half. 1/2

The last to get the ecchi gijinka treatment is Miro! His crybaby nature contrasts Pio's meanness pretty well, so I'm glad to have designed those two~
I may create more in the future, but I have other projects to do in the meantime! See you again soon~

I always wanted to know what made these two such bitter enemies, Audrey and Kyanna are such contrasts to each other it’s crazy

did leave subtle clues in , so props to that

T: My Greatest Joys

This work is on the theme joy, I Had very little time left to do it si it was more Challenging for me. I don't usually use a color palette so Quality normally i fail in the contrasts and saturation but it does not matter.

Opposites & contrasts are a major theme of Yashahime. Burn pays special attention to this as we next see Sesshomaru and Jaken standing from behind, both are staring at the underworld on a large rock, paying homage to the impactful sentiments of Sesshomaru’s iconic "Fukai Mori"...

3. Colourblock: This is a really important step. Setting the mood with colours. I try to stay in shape here but it doesn't matter sooo much. Important for me is to find nice colour palettes, contrasts and the first ideas of lightsource and shadows.
