And of course, speedpaint! Did some different and new stuff with the lineart here, and tried out some fun foreground/background tricks. Nabbed a couple images off google for the main background and the foliage, since that's what I did for the original anyways, lol.

At long last, I'm working on this again. (I think it's too texturey but I'm not going to change it. I really like how it looks beyond the texture-y ness on the foreground elements.) I want to fix up my nose and maybe a couple things on Moe and then I'll color them \o/

I’m gonna try this again! I took a bit of a break but I’m a queer latinx background artist from NY

With this landscape, I returned to my earlier theme of seeing the landscape as a patchwork of fields. The strongly coloured foreground has a sense of the recession of plough lines but is really a great excuse for having fun with colour and pattern!

Not really sure how I feel about this. Trying to render the background in a similar way to how I do foreground stuff has odd results.

2) For the opening panel I really wanted to sell the chaos. Wanted the angle to read like you're there in the crowd. So I put a lot of figures in the foreground, which is a Kirby trope for scenes like this. Has the added bonus of letting me draw more figures less background👀...

The colours and textures are carefully chosen to give the illusion of recession through space. A steady, pastel background with the boldest colours in the foreground - vibrant pinks, yellows and sea blue. A rift in the land - https://t.co/ucG4acRNlc

Here's some more versions with and/or without the text and snowflakes in the foreground

Glenise balances her piece by placing the images in the foreground off centre, using lines to connect the images.

Please check out 's opensea collection 'Cusoon'. This series of works is an attempt to explore the relationship between the foreground and background images.
