🏊♂️J-7 avant la fin de Free! au Japon🏊♂️
Début juillet 2019, sort Free! Road to the world - the Dream, qui est présenté comme une "reconstruction" et un prolongement de la s3.
@JennyENicholson To be clear, I’m most referring to the last 50 years or so. Reconstructions of dinosaurs from like the 1800s are straight up unrecognizable
@orangerivernw Looks good! There's no wrong way to do fan artwork. I did this from a traced screencap and some reconstruction based on the characters. I did it as a 2D surface in my 3D CAD program. Whatever works for you!
Would this reconstruction be wrong/unlikely? Why?
(I find it more reasonable than the big plates being attached just by a thin strip of keratin at the base.)
Whe you realize that some medieval miniature painter of the 13th century accidentally made a preview life reconstruction of the bizarre "#unicorn" which was drawn in 1749 by Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz based on ice age mammal bones from the #Einhornhöhle (unicorn cave) of the Harz.
It’s been a while since I’ve done a cosplay thread (or any cosplay for that matter) so here I go!
This will also be a reconstruction thread since parts of Ganyu’s outfit are used in her Sweets Paradise outfit!
Thank you Em (@/strwbrytruffles) for making this cosplay possible!

Amargasaurus reconstruction based on recent publications, with some very generous artistic license on sexual dimorphism.

Thanks @A_Mashiro_nft for those two beautiful gifts 🤍🖤
"Sun Rising Over The Horizon (Reconstruction)" & "Waking Dream Of A Spring Night"
Facial reconstruction of an ancient Atmoran from Saarthal, dated to the late Merethic Era.
Life reconstruction and composite skeletal of the very dubious "Arizonaspinus cristati"
I meant to rip sprites from TEIN to make a Will Smith meme but instead I figured out how to make clean rips and reconstruct screenshots (kinda).
Go nuts #TheEndIsNigh
A little late to the spinosaur trend as everyone has moved on to Amargasaurus, but I wanted to do a quick reconstruction of the Baryonyx from the paper. Some palaeos have brought up legitimate concerns, but it has a really cool silhouette I wanted to explore.
@FredtheDinoman I think my absolute favorite is brachiosaurus, then besides that I really love allosaurus, spinosaurus, and therizinosaurus when it’s reconstructed well.
#FossilFriday Leti (U. W. 110) is the first skull of a Homo naledi child found. This pic compares its 3D reconstruction with other Homo naledi specimens (top) and other hominins (bottom). Credit: Brophy J.K. et al. (2021)
Ichthyornis has a peculiar sternum with highly crossed coracoid sulci. Skeletal asymmetry, while uncommon in vertebrates, it is challenging for retrodeformation. However, using our new workflow we were able to reconstruct the complete sternum including the asymmetrical parts 10/n
