The Amazing Spider-Man (June1968) #62
It gets hairy for Spidey, when he’s entangled in the Inhuman’s plans in "Make Way for… Medusa!" Script Stan Lee, Layouts John Romita, Penciler Don Heck, Inker Mike Esposito: Romita’s ballet-like battle scenes make up for a thin premise. 4/5
Inker par excellence Joe Sinnott was born OTD in 1926; no one was more important in giving the FF their trademark sheen over decades, finishing Kirby, Romita, Buckler, Buscema, Pérez, Sienkiewicz, Byrne. The Inkwell Hall of Fame Award bears his name. Sadly, we lost Joe last year.

The first 1981 issue of Marvel UK’s Captain America weekly came with a “Superhero Sticker” of Cap himself, featuring what looks like a more cheerful reworking of John Romita Snr’s cover from March 1974’s Captain America & The Falcon #171.
