I do shading by blobing off certain details and selecting them so that I don't shade into parts that I already did. Helps me if you're going to spend a lot of time shading. Can also help to invert the selection. Clipping masks are a must-do for me in sai for shading.

A couple of recent pick ups that stopped me in my tracks, such meticulous use of color and shading.. The green pixels on the eyes and neck were invisible to me until actually taking a moment to fully digest the colors I was looking at.. Finding new things everyday

My means of shading, being the standard black-tone shading.

People always say that colored shading is better than basic black-tone shading,
BUT I believe that basic shading actually helps colors pop out more.
