What I did change is his eye shape and colour, added eyebrows, his wing shape, his beak composition, I gave him legs, I changed his tail and Faynag in my lore is made out of ink, so he's a drippy boi. I hope that my design is a good balance of respecting the original while 4/5

Refs for Fatgum and Tamaki for an upcoming redraw.

Fatgum was sort of hard to design because of his odd shape, so I made him a sun bear since they're weird looking bears to begin with. And the timid Tamaki is of course a Fennec Fox huehue.

it is looking for shapes that resemble the thing you are trying to draw, but you gotta think about which is the base shape and how the rest of the shapes connect around said bigger shape, and also keeping in mind the proportions of said shapes
