I helped with some of the art direction and also created two sprites, one of the FF6 and Mother 3 ghosts, and the one of Porky that shows up at the end.

It was a great opportunity for me to get back to creative works, so updates on my Metroid project should resume very soon.

I love sprites, but I think it's just the general direction of the industry and appealing to players outside the fighting game community. Kinda like with movies, I think a lot of people just generally don't take cartoony visuals as seriously and companies know that.

Next major hurdle will be to do all the needed talksprites, but given those will be flat colored, they shouldn't be too hard to get through. I made some a while back for a bit of a size/style test, and they turned out alright, so I'll likely be doing smth similar to them!

I reduced the size of Angelia's balls by 30%, Before they were very blurry and with the pixels exaggeratedly out of place, now it's something more consistent, and I also fixed the order of the sprites, giving them a movement more realist.
In up to 3 days it will be available!
