Q: What does #ADayInTheLife of a palaeontologist’ look like ?
A: Most palaeontologists work as a university lecturer, or at a museum. I look after vertebrate fossil collections at NMS - everything from fish to dinosaurs. Here's me & an albatross.
@mcapriglioneart hello, I'm Noble, I draw when I'm not super crazy busy with getting my biology degree. I once illustrated a zoology lab manual of invertebrates but now I mostly draw nude cowboys
The second article all about the #evolution of #flight. This time taking a look at the first #vertebrates to take to the skies. #UnlockingThePast this #FossilFriday with the #Pterosaurs: https://t.co/WZZAkPw9Ft

Hope you all haven't forgotten that despite my latest archosaur-centric works, a pretty high percentage of my #paleoart is non-Mesozoic taxa including invertebrates & flora

Did you know, that even with very limited geographic estimates, in excess of 400 million vertebrates are believed to be killed on roads EACH YEAR? #roadecology

@kristenobacter While I mostly do natural history illustration (plants, inverts and vertebrates), I enjoy explaining how things work through art.
First #fossilfriday of the year. Not a sketch today, but a photogrammetry of the trilobite Crozonaspis struvei I did for my final essay of Invertebrates Palaeontological. Not the best specimen, but you can see most it's cephalon features, including the cool tiny eye lenses!
Last full day in the field and we had lots of fossils to move, from sauropod limb bones to sediment for screenwashing for Cretaceous microvertebrates to (unexpectedly) Pleistocene cows, deer, and horses. So we needed a little help excavating and carrying all of this out!
Pre-orders are live for the The Hunter's Journal zine!! >>>@HK_HunterZine
Here's a preview of the piece I made that's also serving as one of the postcards! A lot of cool artist worked on it and all profits are going to The Xerces Society for Invertebrate conservation! 🦗
Day 3 of #pokecember is grass type, and I've always had a big soft spot for these two mantids!

@tera_levin I have a load of invertebrates & if I don’t have what you’re looking for, @VelcroCow2 and @SerpenIllus probably have you covered between them.

Our next talk is by Charlie Linton of @morethanbugs @theroyalparks on the role of art in #invertebrate #Conservation, with his 'dingbat insects', can you guess this? #EntoOutreach meeting #insect #entomology #outreach
@TheRickWilson Why does Sondland remind me of a big, dumb, squishy, invertebrate?
Being an invertebrate means an octopus can squeeze through some pretty small holes. They are pretty remarkable creatures!! (📽️imgr Gallenbt)
