Yeah they do, they do a lot of good. But they also abuse some loopholes to pay certain workers very little, less than $1/hr in some stores. And their top people earn a LOT of money for a non-profit. It's a mixed bag... they aren't heros, or villains.

A story about a human who travels to another world and meets up with two funny animal sidekicks and they go on adventures to other cartoon characters from villains... Yeah I might have borrowed a bit from that.

I think kids are more excited about joining in on a conversation and feeling genuinely included in a larger history, not having something focus group tested to appeal to them. Give them approachable connections to the Marvel universe. New heroes AND villains. Like Ms. Marvel!

I really dislike the whole “scientists meddling with that which they shouldn’t” trope in media. Irl every project we do needs to pass through multiple independent ethics boards because we’re not cartoon villains.
I believe this trope has real impact on peoples’ trust in science.
