Electric yellows are one of the most popular cichlids in the Australian ornamental industry, growing to only 8cm and are relatively cheap to purchase. Keep them with other African cichlids for a lively community tank!

Because this fish is rather obscure and there's only a handful fossils to look for reconstructing, I used its close relative the Strunius and Qingmenodus as reference and also use extant Hoplias sp. as other reference, that gave me 2 version of the Onychodus as illustrated below

Cotylorhynchus was an animal of strange proportions, boasting a large body yet sporting a small head! Despite its lizard-like appearance, it was a synapsid, being a distant relative of the mammals we know today. It spent a lot of its time eating aquatic plants in the water. Yum!

Archosaur of the day!
Sillosuchus longicervix is a species of shuvosaurid Paracrocodylomorph from the Late Triassic in what is now South America. The closest modern relatives of sillosuchus, and shuvosaurids in general, are crocodilians.
