Why painting water is so hard.
I’m still trying to understand the shape of river on the first study. I’m not sure I’ll manage to paint the reflections properly, but I can say that I tried at least.

Day 709: Purse! A rather simple study. This wasn't anything special, but it was still fun to work on. I'm trying to get used to painting with bigger brushes with a higher opacity. It wasn't easy, and I didn't quite get the coloring right, but I think it was still a good practice!
Slowly easing out of the art block with a study. I streamed the process on FB but the saved video was incredibly choppy. Hopefully, I learn to get the settings right so that future vids aren't as ugly. 😅
I started this drawing as a hair study. Drew each section of hair as a different color then inked in detail and colored.

Continuing with some study. I found an old Jack Kirby inspired color swatch that I've been using for these last few drawings (slight adjustments to them afterward) and having a blast. Trying to add more Kirby into my work as well, couldn't be happier right now.
