Here are the two WSJ covers the series got. The arts for the second volume cover and the first WSJ cover were reused (and recolored (by who I don't know)) for volumes 1 and 2 of the rerelease the series would eventually get. Each volume of the rerelease has 2 of the original vols

In regards to the other Pokémon trophies, I think it's safe to assume that, the ones that don't reuse the Poké Ball models just use the Pokémon Stadium ones. But then there's this Meowth with a guitar, which I believe is some sort of preview of Pokémon Channel?
The Star Fox protagonists all use models based off their appearance in Star Fox 64. Most of the other classic trophies try to use completely new models based off older designs, but these just straight up reuse the low poly aesthetic from the most recent Star Fox game
It's really interesting to look back at Melee's trophies, they were made during the transition from N64 to GameCube, most of them are exclusively made for this game instead of being reused, and a lot of them were unique interpretations of how these characters would look in 3D
