when Apo was saying "YOU are the future" and "They must serve YOU" he meant ALL MUTANTS. Ric is just the example of how it was possible through sacrifice to hgo from "being lowest (again rude!!) to excel" and he keeps saying it ALL the issue. (+)

what I UNDERSTOOD from excalibur it's that now ALL mutants have the qualities to become High Lords: communion & resurrection.
They just need to unlock that potential. Ric could do it after he was almost crushed ("stress test") and bc he's been reading the grimorie.(+)
