I don’t think it was a coloring mistake in early artwork that the buckle was white, I think the idea of the golden buckle was something brought on by other artists after the fact, since pretty consistently across multiple artists you see the white buckle appear in this early work

Worked on this some more today, pretty happy with where it's at. Don't think I can make good consistent work with this style yet though. I do know I want to use this style to bring a cuter side to characters.💛
