A friend of mine challenged me to draw using the pen tool rather than the pencil tool (I ADORE the pencil tool) and my, it looks weeeeird!

It does make the picture look really clean, but I feel like it's missing that tinge of realism from the thinner lines, scratchy lines.

Here's a nice nude lady that I painted with lines. I like this look. I painted a black background and did the artwork with lines but I just realized I could have painted it solid and used black to make the lines and saved myself a shit ton of time. Maybe I'll try that soon.

The thicc lines didn't really work all that well with this horny ball boi. Too many dark colors next to the lines. Though this one looks pretty cool without the lines, too...but I'd have to fix things if I turned 'em off.

With more elaborate renders, I'm lazier with the line art and flats. Everything gets painted over eventually, I don't worry about making it look nice in the early stages and focus on key shadows and lines. The process is similar, using my brush to round out the details.
