Very happy with this new WIP Puke Bar entry, to be honest. Now that the Death Trash gameplay and tools are in place, I can finally take care of making the areas more unique with large hand-painted pieces.

In hindsight, I see some problem areas, particularly with what appears to be a thong outside of her unitard, but at the time all I saw was ARMOR. She looked like a magical warrior from the future and I loved it.

I also dug the later Grant Morrison-era look.

i put the lightest areas on add glow, usually. i’ll also add additional highlights with a textured brush to make the skin a little less uniform. with highlights, a little goes a long way!

blocking out shadows and picking a palette! i don’t actually start with a full palette; i just select some base colors and then pick as i go. when i need a darker value, i add more saturation to keep my darker areas from getting muddy.

After becoming stranded in much colder areas than it’s used to Tropius has to grow cold-resistant fruit in order to survive. Once exposed to an ice stone in this state it fully embraces the frost and becomes Arctius! (ice/grass —> ice/dragon)
