So, I sparked a discussion in a Discord server about Sonic Battle's 2D art-style. To make a point, I edited the coloured outlines in Photoshop to pure black to see how the colour pallette pops out. Some of the shading on these renders were also messed with. (1/3)

I made this sprite by using the original Mion Sonozaki sprite. I traced the face and arms and outline of the eyes. The rest was drawn myself in a similar style still using the Mion sprite as a mapping reference underneath to keep the same feel and size of the original characters.
