Agree, So Good....here's more...Hugues Merle(1823–1881)French painter who mostly depicted sentimental or moral subjects. Compared w/W.Bouguereau. Became friend of Paul Durand-Ruel in early 1860s. Ruel began buying paintings by Merle in 1862 & introduced the artist 2 Bouguereau.
