My reference sheets are receiving a refresh, starting with Sally and her ICDF civilian wear, or Gi. Just simplified the shapes and colors, and fixed a problem I had with her old arm design.

I live in Russia and created this because of the war. I felt dissatisfied with what was going on, but I was also afraid to speak out loud cause I could be punished for it.
I created a collection and decided to spend some of the money on civilians

I love this characterization of Ares because he is legitimately trying to be better, to be good, stand up for the oppressed and fight for the downtrodden, it’s just that his version of that includes dropping missiles on innocent civilians, but then *realizes that’s wrong*

We all feel deep pain for the children of Ukraine. But do we all feel the same hysteria for the children of Syria? 😔

EU Disney is honestly very different from what most US Disney goes for. Most of the Stars are some sort of adventurers, for instance, with Goofy and Donald having Superaliases (paperinik & super goof)

Mickey was the smartwitted civilian crimefighter, later noiri-sh detective.

Almost forgot. I read issue 1 of Black Adam. I'm intrigued. I like the political elements. Rafa Sandoval draws a strong, powerful Adam (he is actually colored Brown, yay !), and Priest writes him just as grand. Adam's civilian identity is quite dapper. 1/2

You do realize that these murals are from Mogao grottoes, China (Tang dynasty) right? The first person wasn’t even Korean… here are some hats worn by Chinese civilians/farmers during the same time period……

This flower was created to support the civilian population of Ukraine🇺🇦
The sunflower symbolizes the sun 🌻 The energy of this flower is happiness and vitality, spiritual faith and good luck. They are a symbol of peace, summer, brightness and acceptance

I do find the phoenix metaphor really interesting.

Endeavor has always felt inferior, and I suppose that's manifested in him trying his absolute best to continually fight villains and save civilians

People have been saying that Steph acts awkward when she meets Bernard but honestly I’m fine with that Steph has always been kind of awkward

Steph in canon is a girl who accidentally says her thoughts out loud & wants to hide whenever she tries to make friends with civilians

The fun thing about Tim & Steph is that out of the two of them you’d expect Tim to be the awkward one & Steph to breeze through social interaction but in reality Tims the one who knows how to easily make friends as both a hero & civilian & Steph is the one who acts like this:

Higure Yoshino/Cure Twilight
Cool tomboy civilian form 😎 👌

Steph is completely justified in being happy & excited here because back when they were kids Tim wouldn't even tell Steph his real name & now here he is introducing Steph to his civilian boyfriend which really shows how much Tim has grown to trust & care about Steph

I think this moment is really special when you think about Steph’s history with Tim’s civilian life because whether intentional or not Steph never gets the chance to make a space for herself with Tim’s civilian friends.

Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty by , & feels like a modern DeMatteis/Zeck/Neary run (truly my highest praise). For the first time in a LONG time, Steve has a life: civilian friends! Honing his art! And a grand adventure. It's wonderful.
