Ristar (Genesis, 1995)
Another rock-solid title for the mighty Genesis. With bopping music, vibrant graphics, and a decent amount of meat in terms of gameplay, this bad boy gets a big, fat 10/10

It contains content such as the game's earlier sub title, graphics, and character looks. The team at @GameAtelier have grown a lot during this experience and ended up crafting "one of the best modern day platformers". Check out the history when you can! It's wonderful! 🥰
My favourite games of 1989 – No.7
Datastorm
A supercharged version of Dropzone, Datastorm is an awesome shoot 'em up. Excellent presentation with a brilliant 2 player co-op mode, fast, smooth graphics, & adrenalin-pumping lighting fast action make Datastorm an absolute blast.

My favourite games of 1989 – No.10
Pac-Mania
One of the first Amiga games I got, Pac-Mania is instantly playable & ultra-enjoyable. Cute graphics, nice full-screen scrolling, fab Ben Daglish tunes, plenty of humour & simple but superb gameplay - it’s a cracking little game.
@MartiniGuyYT @cutepigclub still very early, lovely graphics, 20-100x potential
My favourite games of 1989 – No.13
Battle Squadron
Beautiful background graphics, a brilliant simultaneous two-player mode (racing each other for the power-ups is great fun), and instantly gripping arcade shoot ‘em up gameplay make Battle Squadron a top-class, quality shooter.
My favourite games of 1989 – No.17
Silk Worm
Another ace arcade conversion, Silk Worm is fast, frantic and packed with action. Lovely graphics, challenging gameplay & an awesome two-player co-op mode, put Silk Worm head and shoulders above most late 80s shoot em ups. Superb.
My favourite games of 1989 No.18
Shadow of the Beast
Fantastic presentation, amazing background graphics, a brilliantly eerie atmosphere & an awesome soundtrack – it’s just a same the game is rather shallow. A decent arcade adventure but not the mega game it was hyped up to be.

I have been playing Hob from studio @RunicGames and it is a really nice game. I loved the graphics, the environment, and the story.
It's a game where I can spend a lot of time exploring all the corners.
My Favourite Games of 1988 – No. 5
Armalyte
Technically outstanding and boasting gorgeous graphics, top tunes & eight amazing levels of beautifully designed, exhilarating blasting action, Armalyte is arguably the all-time No. 1 shoot ‘em up for the C64. Simply incredible.

My Fave Games of 1988 No.10
Barbarian 2
Barbarian 2 gives you more. More gore, more baddies, more locations & more boxart that your mum wouldn’t approve of. An excellent hack & slash / arcade adventure with brilliant graphics, nice comic touches & totally enthralling gameplay.
I found the right material and selected the right settings for it and textures so that it looked like graphics, as in Launch Trailer. Soooooo, FanMade Launch Trailer in the future?
(although I don't know if I'll ever do something like this)
