The premade cover with this art has already sold, but it's still a favorite of mine. I was experimenting with shade. Normally I go the straightforward route and just darker colors for the bottom, below the text. Here I wanted to get more complex with the mist and the skirt.

I love that Silco’s makeup is the wrong shade because the mask sits poorly on him, the pretense he cultivates to build an empire exhausts. That too is the wrong shade. And it too breaks down in the water and remakes him into a man that rejects the dream for his daughter.
