@clampsupremacy Oh I absolutely agree. I think that’s the biggest flaw of the show is that they stretched and added in places to try and make it the length of a season. Which imo took away from the original charm and quality of the writing. Two movies would be PERFECT!
Chainsaw man is incredible so i don’t mean to undersell it. But in my opinion manga readers are setting the expectations too high for anime only watchers.
Don’t go into the anime expecting AOT foreshadowing, One Piece level world building, and Berserk levels of writing.

I have now finished Gintama. What an amazing journey it as been. This series is truly one of a kind that both have had many of the funniest moments in fiction while also excelling at having amazing, thematically rich serious arcs with incredible character writing.
