The technique here is a combination of traditional painting and 3D art. The old and the new. The background is painted similar to the original painting with many dots and textures. The foreground is 3D but with a twisted perspective. Flat, a way to combine the 2 techniques.

i've been working some more on this one, defining it a bit more, trying to see how i can make it more interesting. I am so glad my mind just jumped to foreground elements, which i didn't use much until now. I feel like the accent color of the spider lilies is very nice as well.
