Paul Henry (1876-1958) West of Ireland Cottages (c.1926-30). Born in Belfast, Henry was the great artistic chronicler of the west of Ireland. Sometimes working off drawings it is difficult to date some of his work. Always unique, and instantly recognisable.

The 7th Earl of Granard, George Arthur Hastings Forbes (1833-1889), Irish peer, soldier, Knight of St. Patrick & Catholic convert. His seat was Castle Forbes in Longford where he died age 56. No mention on his online bio, but he was President of the Catholic Union of Ireland.

Biddy Early was a healer, famous throughout Ireland. She never asked for money to those who sought her help and was frequently paid in whisky. Often in conflict with the Catholic Church, she was put on trial for witchcraft but released due to lack of evidence
