My artwork focuses on lighting. Lighting is the key to great art. No matter how simple or complex or even how "good" your artwork is, if you have great lighting then people will be drawn in and enjoy the worlds you have made.

@nrnmarie I have been stuck with this question since I started watching him. I even sent a supa to him asking him about this but didn't get any useful answer. at this point I'm just going with the lighting. personally i tend to use more blue undertone and a bit of green on light part

Today's meow. trying out some moody lighting.
I..did not expect to finish anything this week. But, here we are.
Background is improvised, and I wanted to try a super high contrast with backlighting. Not sure if I will ever do this look again cause it is a little too harsh for my taste. But I felt like trying it so...there.

I love her art so much! He never fails when it comes to lighting. And the way they shade Dream's cheeks?? HIS FRECKLES?? ARE YOU SEEING THIS??? HIS NOSE. Ennvee is so cool istg.
@Danteeclair idk if i can be much help because i almost exclusively use warm tones whenever i draw him. i find dark grays more difficult to find complementary colors and this gives you more to work with when it comes to shadows and lighting. even they "whites" arent actually white
