The textures are terribly bad. In a city or another small place, I don't care, but in the wild areas, Mario sunshine has better water and the ground is ... The display distance in the wild areas is bad, but the worst is in town. It's not logical, Let's Go were more optimized! 3/6

from what i can tell—twitter at least—is taking your input and creating a speed/mobile optimized output. so if you bounce out a 200DPI JPG set to no loss, they still convert it to a lossy JPG or web format.

also i think they're turning transparent backgrounds into white now, too

very optimized, 1348 tris (1350 limit), but without wings. I could make them just with 2 planes, remove 2 extra tris somewhere and say it's done, but it will be really cheesy 😬 So I decided to treat them as an extra object, like her equipment - gun and staff.

You've got some good answers already but figured I'd post my temp un-optimized one in case it helps at all. I basically do a "wall" of rays, then for each row I average out potential valid points to start doing the sweep oriented tests (the white debug point).
