I used to LOVE doing Pokefusions when I was in highschool, so I thought I'd do it again, but with a twist ;)

I remember back in junior high school, a friend told me that I will never be good at drawing.

2016 / 2020
Yeah it's been a long time since I last drew anything since I got worn out from art school, but still.

2016 vs 2022
I always look at this first drawing of mine and enjoy the way I've gone. In fact, I never went to art school, so I think I could improve my skill a lot more. But I'm not discouraged, I study hard now, hoping to catch up with the lost years (´• ω •`)

Rec of the Week: Bokura no Kiseki

MC has memories from his past life of being a princess of a kingdom at war. Reincarnated as a HS boy, his peaceful school days was interrupted when magic was used in the school, n unlocked the past memories of many other students. (1/2)

These two are called Yuri and Rika, they're Pripara OCs I've created when I was in high school, I've decided to draw them again today !

First time i‘m joining this trend because i felt like this time it’s important with all the AI Stuff around

First one is from when i still was in school, second one i made a month ago

It took years of practice and not giving up, anybody can literally get good!

2011~2022

Been learning how to draw since middle school, and even though I’ve come a long way I know there’s more to go!! owo

2003 vs 2022...
Over the years I know I have only grown through trial and error; I myself hadn't the resources to complete art school, so I taught myself....

I don't have a lot of my art from before I started art school, but this is what I did in my first year of uni vs what I do now 2.5 years into the industry

I decided to start drawing in 2016 when I was 19 years old, and now I'm here. No art school, no mentors, only practice. I think it's ironic that Dark Souls inspired me to start learning.

Saw a tag and wanted to join in- and this is December 2017 vs October 2022
I've been making art since primary school, and got into it professionally at 16- about 8 years ago- I still have SO much to learn, and so many ways to grow. Here's to the future :)

Haven't been able to draw in a bit because of school, once Christmas break hits I'll be making and posting new art!!

In the meantime:

2007-2022

I was just out of art school, afraid to draw men and backgrounds, I didn't know how to color digitally. I had no confidence in myself.
15 years of hard work, practicing and improving, making mistakes, growing as a an artist. It's not a talent thing.

1998-2020/22

Never went to art school, I'm self-taught with books, going to museums, and studying peers' art since I have memory.

We ain't gatekeeping sh*t, we worked our hearts off to get there, and YOU can do it too.

2019-2022

i started drawing early 2019 seriously, and full time early 2021

no art school, just me and some paper, pencils, and youtube and then upgrading to a tablet when i graduated college

it is thousands of hours of work and practice that gets you there

2012 vs 2022. 10 years of consistent practice, art school, and countless tutorials.
