The more I look at it the more I think it is actually just a BAR
I think the perspective makes the magazine look like it’s on the side in your frames, when it matches a BAR more with the receiver shape, mag underneath, and smooth barrel shape

sketchdump; once again, looking for ways to improve my process. enjoying this style where i use bulky, foggy brushes to sculpt the shape, then making a sketch layer on top that i erase/darken/clean later for "lineart" (I like a sketchy style for my lineart 😅)

For me, it's a mix of the poses (you tend to have a good sense of visual movement), the slightly pastel'd colors (even on a design as contrasted as Shard, which I love!) and the style of your eyes (usually a solid shape, rounded, but not soft)
