Recently I've seen a lot of fan art of the old Soviet cartoon Treasure Island. Mostly Dr Livesey. One of the memorable parts for me was the duo of Blind Pew and Black Dog. :D Their song often haunts my mind for no reason. :) Also, drawing in this loose style feels refreshing :)

I am actually glad this is getting recognition.
There are some great USSR cartoons, with a lot of meme potential, while others straight up art.

Ya'll should check soviet "Alice in Wonderland" as well.
It's always one of my recommendations, just for art style alone.
