Good Morning! I felt like sharing some progress on this piece. I'm trying new tools, textures, and techniques. Lots more to do and it's getting easier everytime I make a new one.

LOOK IT'S A REAL BACKGROUND!!!😱😅🤣 (well, my scenery is looking better at least...)

Starting now and for the foreseeable future I'm going to be learning off of artists such as Even Amundsen and Marc Brunet. Feeling stagnant and it's been effecting my work. this is the first 2 hour painting i did with new techniques.

Color arrangements are definitely one of the hardest things to nail. Some sample outputs on dark backgrounds with different HSB arrangement techniques.

I used to work and paint on wood. These days, I use a mix of hand drawn and collage techniques. For me, it's important to keep an instinctive style, quite brutal. I need to share my mistakes, my fears with a pen, even if it's digital. Still hoping for my first sell this year.

The technique here is a combination of traditional painting and 3D art. The old and the new. The background is painted similar to the original painting with many dots and textures. The foreground is 3D but with a twisted perspective. Flat, a way to combine the 2 techniques.

Tried a new sketch brush, not a fan but it was too late to turn back. Decided to experiment a bit with new techniques. And use a line from Lo Moon’s ‘For Me, It’s You” which has been stuck in my head all week.

Think imma stick to cell shading. It just feels more my style. I'll still pursue more techniques. But I just wanna have fun. Should start doing fanart more. Work up the confidence.
