@kaydendoxx I remember when I showed people my improvement with the Rarity drawing and someone told me that my shading got "worse" and it kinda hurt... they told me that the shading I did in the new version doesn't fit the artstyle I'm going for. So I kinda... reduced it in newer works...

Entering unfamiliar territory and temporarily worsening my art style was the best thing to ever happen to it, and me. To this day my art has its highs and lows, it’s all a part of growing as an artist..

But I liked my new style because it was recognizable. It felt like I found a style for myself, and in doing so found an identity of sorts. So I kept working on the new style. I wasn’t worse at art, I was broadening my horizons
