So thinking about AlphaDream's designs made me want to trace a sprite of the BEST Bowser design in any video game. Made me realize a few things:

- Upper lip is puffier and isn't frowning
- Shell is rounder
- Teeth & bracelets less pointy
- Legs are just a circle, like a Pokémon

To be fair Sonic's inkblot design is more traditionally American or at least less of what's stereotypically American than the red white and blue color scheme. Classic Sonic was definetly carrying some Felix the Cat influence. So it's more like half Western and half Japanese.
