couldn’t quite nail the angles, wasn’t sure w lineart, and it wouldn’t have been finished close to Halloween, so it simply got abandoned

It is worth of noting that Mucha wasn't the only artist doing Art Nouveau style in the turn of 20th century. Here are few works from other artist who worked same time period. Mucha may have mastered it, in some sense, but clearly he wasn't working in vacuum.

It is only your assumption that the artist wanted her work to be closer to Muchas style as it is. Quite likely intention wasn't to make 1:1 copy. Also, it is worth of noting that Mucha wasn't the only one doing Art Nouveau, here few works from artist who worked same time period:

This year I had a new PC that can actually run an art program and a new drawing tablet, so I made a return to digital art after many years! I'm inching back into creating more unique plush designs too.
