These beautifully-rounded quartzite pebbles are from northern Sudan. They once formed the bed-load of an ancient Nile. Rolled in Ethiopian floodwaters then sand-blasted for millennia on a hot desert terrace by Libyan winds. They decorate my fireplace - share your rocks!

Ok, I'll tell ya about this little fellow. Fujin, once the God of the Winds was turned into a Japanese weasel by a monk in need of his assistance. He was promised to be returned to his godly form, but the monk mysteriously vanished & he was stuck like this for over 20 years.
