Yu-Gi-Oh was always my favorite anime ever since I was a kid, and for several years, I was an avid player of the card game. Hearing the death of Kazuki Takahashi really was crushing to hear because of how his work was so much of an influence in my life. He was a true legend.

I was taking a break from Twitter but I just wanna pay respects to Kazuki Takahashi who unfortunately pass away recently. I love Yu-Gi-Oh as a kid and I grew a greater appreciation of it as a adult. I hope he can rest in peace knowing he left a impact on people all over the world

The Yu-Gi-Oh manga became a surprise favorite of mine when I was getting into the original US launch of Shonen Jump. Takahashi has a talent for horror-infused storytelling and coming up with some WILD situations and mind games. Gone way too soon, may he rest in peace.

Interesting Kazuki Takahashi fact is that one of his assistants, Akira Ito, who wrote and illustrated spinoff manga Yu-Gi-Oh R, went on to create his own hugely successful TCG—Cardfight!! Vanguard
That’s insane. While I’m not that deep into Yu-Gi-Oh, I was always interested in the story he made, and he had an amazing art style. And he certainly made a huge impact on a lot of people.

So this is one of my earlier OCs, Cecelia before she became a zombie, as you can see Yu-Gi-Oh influenced with Bakura as my main reference because Bakura is just hnnnng!

My most favorites were Gemini and Lavals. They felt just right to me.
yu-gi-oh brought me and still brings me so much joy. i look back on old birthday art my friend and i made for each other fondly. yu-gi-oh even permeated into our other interests. it's just so special and brings so many people together. takahashi left a very special legacy. 8/?
The original 'Yu-Gi-Oh!' may have been one of the very first bits of media I have ever experienced. From the card game, to the TV show, to even my grandma taking me to tournaments.
Thank you, Kazuki Takahashi, for being a major influencer in my early childhood.

I was hurt by the death of one of my favorite authors, Takahashi, the author of Yu-Gi-Oh, didn't deserve such a death, Yugioh is one of my favorite series and to know this news, of a very good author and man it just makes me cry, rest in peace Takahashi...

I remember finding free manga to take and I got the first 3 Yu-Gi-Oh volumes. They were so amazing so weird so horrific so interesting. It made me realize how awesome Yu-Gi-Oh is++
