@TheRealDesastr Well maybe the at least the color is a bit easier if you try blending modes out! Here's an example. In the first one I have the shadow layer in normal blending mode. I've used light blue color. In second the layer is on Multiply, the third one is the drawing without shadow layer.
On some level, it might be a self-sabotage thing, as I've always been aware that fitting in a box makes building a career much easier.
On a different level, I'd like to believe that it's my attempt to retain some form of artistic integrity.

I actually prefer to use illustrations instead of real life designs for some reason. Maybe I think they are easier to replicate and build in-game or I think they are better looking lol. Did use RL refs for some if them.

@ComicsandCleave Writer here! My pointer: All the heavy-lifting should be done before you even begin your first draft. Have a detailed summary and then segment it into page breakdowns. Share that with your artist/editor for notes. It's SO much easier to rewrite a summary than a full script!
