In terms of design, i think this image is where I started exploring other options for the characters
1) Puppets design has remained fairly similar to whats seen here.
2) The same can be said for Trapunto, though his outfit alternates.
3) Zeppelin got short and chubby :p -
Still getting the hang of anthro anatomy... going from years of drawing almost exclusively quadrupeds makes thinking about poses in bipedal terms very challenging, but I'm getting more comfortable with it!

Finally got around to finishing their ref! Tried to keep it simple and concise. In terms of outfits you can be super creative and put them in just about whatever, the one in the ref is just their default!
