Similar to how I presented that comparison image, I like the way the colored pixel art looks over a monochrome/toned hi-res portrait. It's want I'd like to do with my character select screen. Mugen can't do it, but later on in another engine, I'll do this.

This is my first colored picture on toned paper. I use to be afraid to do it because I thought the color might not slow well. I got some great inspiration from seeing other artist doing it. I really like how it turned out. I'm going to experiment further with this.
