All of the fossils. They’re just so goofy and carry so much charm with them. Not to mention they’re pretty scary in competitive right now and I find that hilarious XD

New paper with is out! We report a wild set of fossil associations – springtails hitching a ride on a reproductive ant and termite! It turns out this behavior may not be as rare as you might think, and is still happening today. https://t.co/RU9Ayraqz6

I love Snom! He is one of my favorite new pokemon right next to the fossils. They're all abominations and I love them. I gave this one a hat and his name is Barnelby

About 10 years ago I got some 48 million year old baltic with tiny insect in it. I just remembered that I had them and also now on a microscope!

This pokemon and all fossil pokemon in general, including the new ones. I love them all. Fossil pokemon need more love.

I heard a lot of people say that Dracozolt’s design is bad but honestly?? I love it. It’s ridiculous and absolutely incoherent- but that’s the POINT. the whole “scientist who mixes fossils like puzzle pieces” is the set up of a joke and this design is the hyperbolic punchline.

Once again reminded of the bonkersness of heteromorph ammonites - this fossil clearly fancied itself as a trombone

Thanks Hilary for showing us the British Antarctic Survey fossil collections

Watch out for flash floods Borealopelta (Northern shield)! A nodosaurid ankylosaur from the Lower Cretaceous of Alberta. This dinosaur was the one washed out to sea and became the exquisite fossil housed at the Royal Tyrrell Museum in Drumheller.

Who doesn't want to spend a among Mesozoic flora and fauna?! And even more when you have a vacuum cleaner with you!
Conservation involves taking care of our specimens, and that sometimes means cleaning their cases so dust doesn't affect the collections 🧹🦕
