I love how the MLP fandom named a background pony Dr. Whooves due to his resemblance to the 10th Doctor and the show artists just ran with it and paired him up with Rose because Rose Tyler was the Doctor's companion in DW.
They knew exactly what they were doing and they did it.

Fans of my old DW podcast, Discern Realities, will remember Ramshackle Crow and the Starlight Serpent. We published that dungeon, The Temple of the Peerless Star, a few years ago, and now I’m reworking it for Trophy Gold. It’s coming in Codex - Starlight 2!
