My #ComicsDNA started when I picked up Bone in middle school. Then I saw my first anime .hack and was hooked on anime from there on. In high school I took after manga like Chibi Vampire and Dengeki Daisy, and recent years I've been heavily inspired by Takeshi Obata's art style.
I started hoarding Archie comics as a very little kid, I have no idea which was the first. So besides Archie & pals titles, here's the first that got me into indy comics & manga at 14, another that got me hooked, and 2 others of equal importance to me. 🖤🖤🖤🖤 #comicsDNA

1. I remember buying a Pearls Before Swine collection because my friend read/loved the strip.

I’ve been watching the #comicsDNA hashtag today and it’s been fun seeing creators talk about their influences. Here are 4 of mine. X-Men 174 was my gateway comic, the one that hooked me. The others shown here were huge influences on my path to being a comic book writer/artist.
