@WusdisWusdat This probably ended up a bit too close to the source image, but using the original image helped me pin down stuff like, folds, how capes work, etc, as well as prevent accidental leaning.
Finalizing my piece for the upcoming Yuan zine means I get the colored version of this reaction image, and that in itself is the best reward.

@_Clattertrap @FlorkOfCows I found that second image amusing so I tracked down the origins, found the highest quality source image, ran it through a neural net scaler, and then finished it off with minor technical editing to eliminate the raw edges of the cropping. Enjoy.

Sometimes paintings take a lot of iterating before I figure out what to do with them.
But for this image, I had a very clear inspiration - a still frame of the sky above Øresund bridge from a @noclipvideo documentary on Hitman, so it was pretty nailed from the first doodles
