Microprose F-15 Strike Eagle, BOTSS and Tank Battle

Microprose entered the arcades with a costly multi-processor, custom-hardware-based 3D system. I had to write an AM29000 CPU core as this was Microprose's odd choice of math processor (combined with a hardware multiplier).

Props to Dragon Ninja and Combat School for being very good arcade conversions. Also Star Wars, which was better than it deserved to be, considering how unsuited the C64 was to doing it. Rambo: First Blood Part II was one I'd load to listen to the excellent Galway music. 😋

Every time I was at the arcade in town I had to play it.

Was in there on one of their free-play nights. Played it to completion. The first arcade game I ever saw with a proper end sequence. Great stuff. 👍
