yes! i saw so much "never draw individual strands always draw hair in sections" advice presented as a hard rule. tried following it for years and it never worked for me, only recently left it behind for my own style and im so much happier with the outcome

honestly i just put the base colors over the sketch, put some very general shadows, highlights and like blush etc and then i try to define it and blend it nicely and hope for the best because i have no idea what im doing
